Ambient temperature can be influenced by a wide variety of things - from the air temperature, sunlight, body heat, or even something like your car’s heater. Ensure that your ammunition is not being exposed to conditions where the local ambient temperature could rise above 85 degrees; otherwise, damage could occur.

In addition, ensure that you are not keeping a round chambered in a hot chamber. After firing several rounds from your firearm, the chamber and barrel can get hot enough that the next bullet to be chambered but not fired would be exposed to dangerously high temperatures.
