Charlie was raised on a tobacco farm and has been involved in agriculture his whole life from raising corn, soybeans, and backgrounding feeder steers. In high school, Charlie participated in FFA and took vocational classes in tool and die. He started hunting and shooting at age of seven years old and got into coon hunting with treeing walker hounds at the age of sixteen which led him to cross paths with a fellow coon hunter that was a serious reloader and gunsmith. Soon after they became friends and hunting partners, Charlie got more involved in rifle accuracy and reloading and learned about benchrest and precision shooting. As time went on, he learned about handmade bullets and their consistency and came across die maker, George Ulrich, and learned the art of bullet smithing. If you are ever in Cynthiana, KY, feel free to drop in and see Charlie! He is always more than welcome to show his operation and share his opinions for his passion of shooting and the outdoors.

Don’s interest in guns and reloading ammo came at an early age. He has used his skills over the past 60 years and continues to do so today. He was 15 years old when he bought his first rifle, a 700 Remington Varmint Special, 243 Caliber. Don shot this gun for a long time and could not afford to buy factory ammo. Therefore, he began reloading and crafting his skills. The second gun Don owned was a Barrel Mark X Action. He ordered it from a FFL person, which was a 220 Swift and a Fagen stock he put together. Over the years Don has owned numerous guns, shot, and reloaded many calibers. He has spent his lifetime perfecting his skills and knowledge on guns and reloading.
